Troop 78 Is Going to CAMP !

Jackson- Dandelion Days in Jackson has traditionally been a giant fundraising opportunity for Troop 78.  This year was no exception.  Seated on bikes and armed with walkie-talkies, the boys were ready!  Sunday’s scattered rain and wind did not put a damper on the number of visitors parking in the old Safeway parking lot.  At $4.00 a parking spot, the Troop was able to earn the required amount needed to send all of the Scouts to summer camp at Camp Marin Sierra in July!

“Being able to hang out with my friends in the Troop and riding our bikes was fun” says Star Scout Wyatt Walshaw.   

Scoutmaster, Patrick Scanlon says all of the Scouts were outstanding!  They were respectful and worked hard.  Wearing their Class A uniforms and sporting their new neckerchiefs, the Boys looked sharp!  Many positive comments were said about the courteous behavior by the boys.  That’s the Scout Way!!!  Many people were so impressed they donated more than the required fee for parking. 

Not only was this a very successful fundraiser, it was also an overnight outing.  The Troop stayed Saturday night in tents to be ready bright and early Sunday morning.  The boys were treated to a pancake breakfast by Jim & Teresa Guidi. 

This event is a true testament to the outstanding teamwork Troop 78 has with the parents, adult volunteers and the Scouts. 

Good job Troop 78!!  Camp here we come!!!
